Laser Treatment FAQs
If you have any of the following conditions, a Laser Treatment might be a good choice for you:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Rosacea or facial redness
- Uneven skin tone
- Rough skin
- Enlarged pores
The laser uses light to target damaged skin, while leaving most of the surrounding skin intact. As a result, it is non-invasive and safe with little to no down time.
The Pixel laser can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin, sun damage, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, melasma, stretch marks, acne scars, and surgical scars. It can be used on the face or other parts of the body.
This laser makes tiny holes in the top layer of the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural healing, such as new collagen production. For this reason, the results of the procedure happen gradually over a period of about 6 months.
Dr. Subbio will numb your skin before the treatment so that the discomfort is minimal.
Your skin will be red and swollen for a day or two after the treatment. It will peel within 3-4 days. Afterward, the new, beautiful skin will appear from underneath.
We will give you full instructions for cleansing and caring for your skin after your treatment. Most female patients can wear makeup on the fifth day.
For best results, most people have 3-5 treatments every 4 weeks.
LED Light Therapy treats deep layers of the skin and encourages the body to produce more collagen, which improves the skin’s overall appearance and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment also improves mild to moderate acne, dull skin, hyperpigmentation, freckles, stretch marks, sun damage, and Rosacea.
The device has the ability to apply different colors of light to the skin, each of which can treat specific skin problems.
The number and frequency of the treatments you will need depend on your skin and the issue you wish to improve.
Most patients find that they have no residual effects after LED Light Therapy and, therefore, require no down time.
Most laser treatments do not hurt, although you may feel a sensation of heat or like a rubber band snapping against your skin. Pixel Laser Resurfacing is the most uncomfortable of the treatments we offer, so we numb the skin before the procedure.
Most Laser Treatment results are temporary and must be performed again after a period of time.
No, Laser Treatments are non-surgical.
Absolutely! During your consultation, Dr. Subbio will ask you what bothers you about the way you look. Then, he’ll tell you exactly which treatment will give you the results you’re after, and he’ll explain what you can expect.
Laser Genesis is a laser skin rejuvenation treatment that improves Rosacea, uneven skin tone, rough skin, enlarged pores, and fine lines and wrinkles. The laser device is applied above the skin, so all you feel is a comfortable sensation of heat.
For the best outcome, most patients have 4-6 Laser Genesis treatments about every 2-4 weeks.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. This Photofacial treatment improves hyperpigmentation, rosacea, spider veins/broken capillaries, age spots/brown spots, freckles, and acne scars.
A cool gel is applied to your skin, and the IPL hand-held device is passed over your skin. No anesthetic is required because the sensation is no worse than the snap of a rubber band.
IPL is not recommended for patients with darker or tanned skin, as it might cause hypopigmentation.
While you may experience some redness and burning for a few hours, there is no down time after IPL.
Pellevé is a laser treatment that reduces fine lines and wrinkles and boosts collagen production by delivering radiofrequency energy to the deep layers of skin. Sometimes called “collagen remodeling,” this treatment creates gradual improvement over a 6-month period following your procedure.
Pellevé isn’t painful and requires no down time. You can even return to work right after your appointment.
Most people receive 1-3 treatments every 4 weeks to achieve the results they want.
No, there is no scarring after Laser Treatment.
We think there are several reasons! Here are just a few:
- He gives all his patients his cell phone number. He’ll call you the night after your surgery to check on you, as well as the next morning. And he’ll make sure your recovery is as comfortable as possible.
- He’s a trained artist, and you’re his canvas. It’s the perfect marriage of science and artistry. In fact, he’ll hand-draw his projected results right in front of you during your consultation.
- He’s fun! He likes to joke with his patients and put them at ease. Plus, we maintain a small office where we treat our patients like a part of the family.
- He won’t try to convince you to have a procedure that isn’t best for you. He’d rather lose your business than sign you up for a procedure he isn’t 100% behind. And if he thinks you need a procedure he doesn’t offer, he’ll recommend a different surgeon for you.
